Coming from Hong Kong this project is special given how it adds so much to the residents experience and comfort. The outdoor space is top notch, with loads of amenities, trees, vegetations, seating areas, even gardens for chickens!!! Just lovely and demonstrative to how it doesn't take much effort to create amazingly beautiful useable spaces. GREAT WORK.
There could've been more navigation signage especially for directions towards the management office, given that's the space where visitors register to get to the 50th floor public garden. It took me a good 15-20 minutes just to find it, hidden through a loading space/car park... weird!!!
A cool view of Chinatown and surroundings from above. For only $6, you can take the elevator to the rooftop and walk all around. You get a great view of shophouses from above.
You don't have to pay with cash, but if you're a tourist, it's easier. If you're a local, you need a Nets card.
Best of luck finding the ticket office, though. It's a test of your commitment to find it. It's super not obvious, and that was my second time there. A woman who lives at the Pinnacle walked us to the booth.
Bring sun lotion and/or an umbrella... And sun glasses. The sun is so strong up there and there's not much shade relief.
It's a lovely view and a new way to view the area.
Gorgeous sunset view! Unfortunately they do not open early enough for sunrise.
You'd need an ezlink card (one per person) and CASH!! You'd have to pay downstairs before heading up (there wasn't a sign and I had to go up/down).
I hope it's a clear sky day for you when you visit! :)
Superb 360 view from 50th floor at the sky garden that visitors can pay $6 to visit or a resident in the building may bring you up without any costs. Note there is opening time, not open at night time. This is a great achievement by Singapore government to build such a magnificent public housing for its citizen. There’s also a sky garden at 26th floor for residents only. Building is key so clean and tidy with many restaurants around it. The only low point is the parking, which is a little messy in design, other than that impressive!
Cheaper alternative to view fireworks for eg. Chinese New Year or countdown party. Great 360 degree view in daylight and sunset.
Level 3 makes it easier to go to the different blocks, and also where the Heritage Garden is.
Nearer to Blk 1C/1D, on level 1, is Essen, popular it seems with tourists for its "Garden" outdoor seating. When exiting left of Essen's main entrance, catch a glimpse of Lee Kuan Yew memorial tree & tribute beads (planted by Lee Hsien Loong). Another tree planted by LKY in the middle of the roundabout, along Cantonment Road.
3 children playground and 2 exercise corners accessible for the public.
Blk 1G, level one is the Duxton management office to pay for entry to level 50 Skybridge (Bus stop 05519 alight, look for Yellow cafe and beside turn in to office) Smell freshly made waffle, bread from the "Yellow cafe" offering some light bites and drinks. Right beside a convenience store that opens quite late and laundromat. Walk further ahead if you are there during lunchtime to try out food at the popular chicken rice stall. Crowded weekdays before noon.
Conveniently located to many point of interests and amenities such as public transport, food, popular Don Don Donki at 100am, hair salon, Chinatown.... Great location to plan your day.
Get here, via Thomson (TEL) mrt line, alight at Maxwell Station, exit 3. Up the escalator, exit left and u-turn and walk over.
Detailed review and nearby places to visit check my post on WordPress.
This is a must visit place in Singapore. $6 per person and you are on the 50th floor with a long skywalk and comfortable sitting area to relax with no time limit on your visit. This place is to get an all around view of the city from where you can see the harbour, sentosa island etc. If you are not fascinated by the view from a skyscraper, there is nothing else to do here. There are no washrooms on the top, no food stall nothing else. You can carry water and snacks and sit and enjoy the view there.
Nice view. Ticketing guichet is at 1st story of block G. You have to present a ezlink card and pay cash 6 dollars. Ezlink card is only for registration and swiping to unlock the door at 50th floor
Best view for only 6$, no need to buy expensive drinks, dress up, wait in line. Perfect for people who travel on a budget. You can have a walk on the viewing platform. We stayed up there for at least one hour. You can’t see the marina bay sands.
